CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check in noon, check out by noon, or by agreement. Let us know if you require a different check-in/check-out time.

MINIMUM AGE FOR RENTING
You must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation; proof of age will be required.

MINIMUM STAY
Two night minimum stay required. Please inquire if you need a shorter stay midweek and we will try to accomodate you.

CANCELLATIONS
Please let us know ASAP if you must cancel your reservation. We will charge one night's stay for weekend stay cancellations made less than one month prior to your arrival date or mid-week stay cancellations that fall during a holiday week. Of course, if we rebook, we will not charge you at all. So, basically, the more time you give us to rebook, the less likely you'll be charged. No Shows will be charged for the entire reserved stay.

DOGS
Please notify us if you plan on bringing your dog(s) to stay with you. We require that your dogs wear their current dog tags and have a current rabies vaccination for their safety...and because it's the law. Also, please review the "House Rules for a Good Dog" posted at the house upon arrival.

ACCIDENTS AND DAMAGE
The Nettie Brown House is old.  We understand that accidents happen and things break. Although we don't require a security deposit, we ask that you let us know if something breaks or malfunctions. However, if you or your guests cause damage to the home or property through their or your own negligence we will require that you pay for the damage and we reserve the right to charge your credit card for it (although we hope that doesn't  happen and we will let you know of our intention to do so first).

SMOKING POLICY & FIRES
The house is made of very old wood! There is no smoking in the house or barn. You may smoke on either the front porch or back deck, but be careful with your butts! Speaking of wood, be careful with the wood stove and fireplace, and ashes/coals, too. Review the "House Rules for Building a Fire" upon your arrival.

CLEANING
So that we can afford you maximum privacy while you are at the Nettie Brown House, we do not come in to clean or make beds during your stay. Should you want or need some neatening-up during a week-long stay, please let us know and we will try to accomodate you. We will, of course, provide a thoroughly cleaned house with fresh linens and towels for your arrival, so please respect the house and leave it tidy and free of dirty dishes when you leave.

DRESS WARM
Did we mention the house is old? And drafty? Although we have brand spankin' new windows, the floors are wood and the ceilings are high, making it hard to heat the ole' girl.  Typical of an old house, we keep the steam furnace burning low n'steady and we warm up by sitting in a rocker near the wood stove or fireplace with a scotch or maybe a cup o' tea.  Bring warm clothes in every season, especially if you're prone to cold and don't forget your slippers! We do have plenty of blankets, down and non-down comforters, and electric blankets in case you need them.

NEED MORE HELP?
We try to anticipate your questions and needs, but if we've missed something or if you have more questions, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail us!  603.859.1814 or info@nettiebrownhouse.com
